"Ward 22 is growing rapidly, and residents deserve a councillor who is present, practical and accountable. I have knocked on thousands of doors, listened to residents, served on the Findlay Creek Community Association Board and worked with community organizations. I will focus on: Safer streets. Better transit. Stronger opportunities for young people. Infrastructure that keeps pace with growth."
Like many of you, we chose Ward 22 because of what it promised: safe streets, strong schools, and a place where families could put down roots and thrive. In many ways, it has delivered on that promise.
My professional background has given me the tools to analyse problems, plan for the long term, and make decisions that stand up to scrutiny. But my decision to run wasn't made at a desk. It came from living here.
It came from conversations with neighbours. From seeing families navigate crowded parks and growing communities. From hearing residents talk about traffic, housing, local services, and the future they want for Ward 22.
I am not running because I have all the answers. I am running because I believe the best solutions come from the people who live here. My role is to listen, bring people together, and ensure residents have a strong voice at City Hall.

Meet Muyiwa Ojo
As a finance professional with an Executive MBA from the Ivey Business School, I understand the importance of responsible planning, informed decision-making and delivering results. But I also know that numbers and spreadsheets never tell the whole story. The people who live here do. That is why I have spent time listening directly to residents across Riverside South and Findlay Creek.
Canada gave our family opportunity. Ward 22 gave us home. I am running because I want to help make sure this community continues to grow in a way that works for the families who call it home.
"Canada gave our family opportunity. Ward 22 gave us home."
Our platform is
Built from listening.
Built from thousands of conversations with residents across Riverside South and Findlay Creek.

Safer Streets & Stronger Neighbourhoods
Make Ward 22 safer for families, pedestrians, cyclists, and drivers by addressing speeding, improving road safety, enhancing street lighting, and investing in safer parks, pathways, and public spaces.
- Traffic calming in high-risk areas
- Safer intersections and crosswalks
- Improved pathway and park lighting
- Stronger community safety partnerships
- Safer routes for children and seniors
What This Means: I will work with City staff and Ottawa Police to implement traffic calming in high-risk areas, advocate for better lighting in our parks, and ensure crosswalks are safer for our children and seniors.
"Every resident deserves to feel safe in their neighbourhood, whether walking to school, cycling to a park, or driving home."
Real opportunities for our youth
Give young people practical opportunities to build the future — through STEM and AI, arts and creativity, entrepreneurship, leadership, mentorship, skilled trades, and summer opportunities, in partnership with schools, businesses and community organizations.
- Ward 22 Youth Advisory Council
- Leadership development programs
- STEM and AI learning opportunities
- Arts and cultural initiatives
- Entrepreneurship and mentorship programs
- School and community partnerships
What This Means: I will champion a Ward 22 Youth Advisory Council, establish partnerships with local businesses for mentorship and summer jobs, and advocate for community spaces that support STEM, arts, and leadership programs.
"Youth should not just be prepared for the future — they should be given opportunities to build it."
Better Transit & Smarter Traffic Solutions
Advocate for reliable transit service and practical traffic solutions that reduce congestion, improve connectivity, and address the everyday transportation challenges residents face.
- More reliable OC Transpo service
- Better connections to transit hubs
- Reduced traffic bottlenecks
- Improved commuter mobility
- Planning that keeps people moving
What This Means: I will advocate for better OC Transpo reliability, push for solutions to traffic bottlenecks in our neighbourhoods, and ensure residents have practical commuting options.
"Residents should spend less time stuck in traffic and more time with their families."
Infrastructure That Keeps Pace With Growth
Ward 22 is growing quickly. City services and infrastructure need to grow with it — from parks and recreation to walking and cycling connections, everyday services, and stronger advocacy at City Hall.
- Parks and recreation facilities
- Sports fields and community spaces
- Walking and cycling connections
- Everyday city services
- Stronger advocacy at City Hall for growth-related infrastructure
What This Means: I will demand that our ward gets its fair share of infrastructure funding, prioritize new parks and recreational facilities, and advocate for infrastructure and essential service to keep pace with our communities growth.
"Growth must be matched by the infrastructure and services residents need to thrive."
